Microfluidics makes it possible to design systems in which low volumes of fluids are processed to achieve multiplexing, automation, and high-throughput screening. Volumes are small, typically in the μL, nL, pL range. In some applications, external actuation is used for a directed transport- of the media. The flow direction can be determined by on-chip fluid control or the use of microvalves. Therefore, many processes, normally carried out in a lab, can be miniaturised on a single chip in order to achieve automation and reduction in labour and reagent costs.
The start-up environment is the perfect incubator for the generation of novel and innovative ideas, this includes innovative product designs that take advantage of novel developments in microfluidics technology. However, commercialising ideas that incorporate microfluidics can be a daunting task. especially, as a startup can be a daunting prospect. Our experience with has let us identify several roadblocks faced by start-ups when consulting with microfluidics manufacturers.
At Camtech we aim to deliver a versatile, tailored project outline that leaves out clients with plenty of room for adaptations. This approach allows us to overlap the prototyping and manufacturing into one seamless project that is driven by our clients. We work with a continuous feedback model, ensuring that clients can make adaptations on the go without having to initiate entirely new projects or bare the associated costs. Our approach, therefore ensures that clients have a time and cost-effective package. This approach is facilitated by assigning a dedicated consultant to each client, ensuring effective communication between our experts and the client.
Ultimately our success depends on yours, so we ensure the needs of our clients and consideration of their budgets and time constraints are our primary concern.
Our DPM system was developed with a deep understanding of the risks associated with each phase of development. Therefore bolstering our commitment to risk mitigation as a crucial aspect of a product development cycle.
Having partners who are flexible and committed to the success of their customers opens the avenue for investigating several design processes within the same project, optimising resource allocation and reducing costs. Overall, demonstrating the ability to identify and mitigate risks plays a crucial role in convincing potential investors
